Dear Diary 11(last Sunday at church)

July 9, 2023

Dear diary,

Well, today was our last day at the church in Tarija. We got together for breakfast and worship before church and then practiced some songs.

After church we had lots of hugs and took pictures and said goodbyes, then headed home for lunch. Some of us walked home and then we had lunch with the worship band from church.  It was interesting to talk to the singers and hear how they got started singing and ended up at the church. They are always impressed with the fact that we’ve known each other less than two weeks and can harmonize so we’ll. I explained that it’s because our churches all sing with that style of music so when we get together it’s not very hard.

After lunch we talked and some of us played games with the lunch company and learned to know each other better with the evangelizing games of questions.

In the evening we went to church again and only half of us were there at the beginning since their driver was sick.  The pastor’s wife had gone to pick them up and couldn’t find them for a little while because they were on a different street corner than the she looked and she didn’t have a way to get ahold of them. The pastor came in to church and got me to call one of them, but just at that moment the pastors wife found them. We girls at church started singing and when the others came they joined us.

After church we went to play wally-ball with the young people we had done evangelizing with and then when our hour was up we walked home to talk about our day and figure out the plan for tomorrow. Hopefully we’ll go shopping and then three of the girls are going to Cotoca with the pastor’s wife on the bus.  Good night.
